About Us - CHEF
CHEF PATRICIA
Fresh, delicious, home-cooked food defines the way I grew up in the state of Jalisco in western Mexico.
My earliest memories include accompanying my grandmother each morning to the small open-air market and butcher shop at the corner of her cobblestone street. We would buy all of the vegetables, meat, and fresh produce like onions, tomatoes, greens and fruits each day. Then we would go home and start cooking... I can still remember the mouthwatering aromas to this day!
My love of exquisite and distinctive food eventually inspired me to become a chef. In 2006, I earned a scholarship to study culinary arts in Italy. This experience reaffirmed the importance of food preparation with the finest, freshest ingredients which had always been a way of life for me.
Yet, through it all, and especially since moving to the United States in 2008 with my young and growing family, I realized perhaps the greatest secret of food chemistry: the need for warmth of spirit and warmth of heart. Human generosity. Genuine hospitality. Great food is an experience - of the senses and of the soul!
LaMargarita is a dream for me, shared by my family. I am attached to this land, water, and air. I completed the Farmer Experiential Education and Development (FEED) Program at CalPoly in 2017 where I acquired transformational skills in small-scale agriculture and business in order to "give back" what I may from the rich offerings of this land. I am proud to be a part of the wonderful agricultural identity of San Luis Obispo county.

PRIVATE DINNER
Have you ever wanted to host a truly unique outdoor dinner party? Not simply an ordinary affair but an unforgettable and exceptional EXPERIENCE?
LaMargarita Private Dinner Club partners with you as our invited guests to make that happen. In style! Unpretentiously!
Like a private caterer, LaMargarita Private Dinner Club takes care of all food preparation. Typically, a <<Table d'hôte>> menu is offered where a 3-4 course meal with choices is charged at a set price. Price is based on menu selections, seasonal availability of ingredients, and market conditions.
Of course, menu offerings are customized creatively and collaboratively for you by Chef Patricia. It's part of the fun!
To create the experience for small intimate groups of 2-12 adults, LaMargarita Private Dinner Club meets with you on-site when you are ready to start planning. We get to know each other. We see what you need. We see what you like.
Fast forward a few weeks/months later... We put on an exhilarating dinner (or lunch/brunch) that we have worked on together. You feel at home amongst friends. You cherish the delectable food, the smiles, the joy, the artistry...

LaMargarita is unparalleled in natural beauty and rugged intimacy. Located atop a private hilltop ridge with 360-degree views, LaMargarita overlooks a spectacular canyon of grassy rolling meadows, azure lake waters, and majestic mountain peaks as far as the eye can see. LaMargarita is picturesque beauty and serenity that will move you to awe.
There is access to endless lakeside and mountain trails for hiking, mountain-biking and horseback-riding, a marina close-by with boat launch and kayak/pontoon-boat rental, terraced hillside patios made of sandstone native to the property, a covered pergola designed for al fresco dining with family and friends, outdoor kitchen, spa, tiny vineyard, children’s playground, devotional shrine for spiritual pilgrims (Holy Cross/Santa Cruz del Lago), a well-appointed and tastefully remodeled honeymoon cabin.
